About the Author

Arashi Minoko

Arashi Minoko was born in the Dragon Clan province of Seiya Zei in the year of 630 AR on the 7th day of Sarenith. While he has no memories of his parents, he dearly loved his grandfather, Isayku, who raised him and his younger sister, Aiko, for five years while Arashi was 7 to 12 years of age. 

After Isayku's murder at the hands of two members of the Sons of Heaven, Matsuno and Zhen Setsu, Arashi and his sister found their way into the care of Master Motaga at the Shizuru temple in Tenshi village. It was roughly three years until Arashi could no longer stand the structured temple life and ran away, intent on a life of adventurer and wandering (and drinking) like his late grandfather. Even so he returned every few years to check on his growing sister and bring her gifts obtained in the course of his travels. 

It was during one of these visits that Tenshi village in the year 656 AR when the village came under attack by Matsuno, seeking a relic housed in the Shizuru temple. While both Arashi and Aiko fought well, they were no match for the warrior and were unable to stop the man from stealing the relic...and also taking the lives of many of the villagers, including their foster father Master Motaga. This battle brought Arashi and Aiko into contact with Baoji, a mountain priest, and Keisuke, a traveler from the land of Israfel who informed them of the Sons of Heaven's goal being the 12 relics of Tian Zhe. 

Together, the unlikely four now travel together, seeking to acquire the relics and put a stop to those that would put them toward their own dark designs.
